The July 31 2023 IHF Memo Proclamation of Your Health Act and its regulation will come into effect on September 25th, 2023.
The new requirements of the legislation and regulation cite an enhanced patient process to implement and expansion of the role of the Patient Ombudsman. The term “independent health facilities” will be replaced publicly with “community diagnostic and surgical centres”.
On the same date, the IDCA will become the “Independent Clinics Association of Ontario (ICAO)”.
